Protect Boulder

Just when you thought you had heard it all...

The City and County of Boulder continue to make a mess of prairie dog conservation on public lands. Worse still, the City continues to spend money like it has an expiration date to study and "manage" prairie dogs. For a glimpse into the latest waste and to get a sense of just how much resource is spent on prairie dogs, you can read the latest 33-page report to City Council from 12 separate members of staff in preparation for an August 16, 2016 hearing on the relocation of 50 prairie dogs! Waste, fraud and abuse...at its finest...and from it all, nothing good is happening for prairie dogs!

The only good thing is City staffers continue to be showered with accolades and praise from the special interest groups who have them and Council in their pockets.

Boulder's failed prairie dog policies have enraged conservationists, developers and farmers alike. In fact, the city and commission's failures have made a mockery of the whole issue.
